A Holiday Show Worth Unwrapping

While there are many spectacular shows to visit during the holiday season, Lavelle’s 2016 Holiday Concert was a spirited performance for all ages. Whether you observe Christmas, Kwanzaa or Hanukkah, the performance celebrated all different holidays.  It  was  a  time  for students, families and staff to rejoice in harmony.

To delight both children and adults alike, a Candyland theme  opened the scene for all to enjoy. A gingerbread house, candy canes, cookies, ice cream cones, peppermints and lollipops danced like sugar plums in our heads knowing Lavelle’s students would soon be singing in glee.

Performing with a combination of instruments and vocals, students from Preschool, Life Skills and Reach sang Peace & Harmony, Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, O Kwanzaa, Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Medley, Feliz Navidad and Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel. Each song tingled our senses. The dedication and talent from all students resounded the true spirit of the holiday season. Another round of applause for a tremendous concert!

Getting into the holiday spirit as well, different staff members volunteered to sing a duet with the assistant principal. And although Santa is a very busy man, he surely made time to visit each boy and  girl, spreading a handful of cheer and Ho-Ho-Ho!

This year, Lavelle’s Holiday Concert was a real gift of a show, one staff always wishes to unwrap in the coming year. It only seems appropriate to sincerely thank Mr. Eric, the music teacher for a great show, parents for coming, staff and administration for making the best show possible.
